Configure Guestar to match your business needs. Access Settings from the navigation menu.

General Settings

Timezone

Set your local timezone. This affects:

  • Message timestamps displayed in the app
  • Scheduling features
  • Activity logs

Currency

Choose your primary currency for upsell pricing and revenue tracking:

  • USD (US Dollar)
  • EUR (Euro)
  • GBP (British Pound)
  • IDR (Indonesian Rupiah)
  • AED (UAE Dirham)
  • SAR (Saudi Riyal)
  • QAR (Qatari Riyal)

Language

Set your preferred language for the Guestar interface.

Listing Sets

Organize your properties into groups for easier management and team assignments.

Creating a Listing Set

  1. Go to SettingsListing Sets
  2. Click Add Set
  3. Name your set (e.g., "Bali Villas", "Dubai Apartments")
  4. Select which properties belong to this set
  5. Save

Using Listing Sets

  • Filter properties on the Properties page
  • Assign team members to specific sets instead of individual properties
  • Track performance by property group

Notifications

Control how and when you receive alerts from Guestar.

Email Notifications

Receive emails for:

  • Low confidence responses (AI needs help)
  • Upsell opportunities detected
  • Escalation phrases ("I'll check with the team")

Email notifications include:

  • Property name
  • Guest name
  • Summary of the situation
  • Link to view the conversation

Push Notifications

Enable browser push notifications to receive alerts even when you're not in the app:

  1. Click the bell icon in the header
  2. Allow notifications when prompted
  3. You'll receive real-time alerts on your device

Push notifications work on:

  • Desktop browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
  • Mobile home screen apps (iOS 16.4+, Android)

Notification Frequency

To prevent notification overload, Guestar limits alerts:

  • Maximum one email per conversation every 4 hours for the same issue type
  • Push notifications are real-time but deduplicated
